Simple ways to do clothing alterations - DIY sewing

Welcome!  You are visitor 125560 since 21 September 2000

If you want to do clothing alterations and repairs to your pants, trousers, jeans, tops, bottoms, sleeves, or waists, then this is the place for you.  You need only to be able to use a sewing machine and to be able to hand sew.  Want to replace a zipper?  Puzzled about how to alter hems, cuffs, or fasteners?  Just follow these simple step-by-step instructions and you will be amazed at what you can do.  Your alterations will have a professional appearance that will impress you.  Each step is accompanied by a diagram showing where and how to pin, measure, cut and stitch.

I have many years of experience in the dressmaking and clothing alterations industry. During this time I have evolved many simple ways of doing complicated sewing tasks - tasks that would otherwise defeat all but the most experienced professional dressmakers.
